The Certified Medication Aide must be a certified homemaker home health aide or a certified nursing assistant or a personal care assistant. Medication aides give medication to patients in Assisted Living Facilities and personal care homes.

MEDICAL BILLING & CODING SPECIALIST:
The Medical Billing Specialist is a vital member of The Health Care team who is expected to handle billing and administrative part in the health industry and related insurance industry companies. The Medical Billing Specialist curriculum has been tailored in such a way as to allow the participants/student to gain a full understanding of expectations, job knowledge and mastery of skills needed for entry-level job performance and knowlege of electronic medical billing and the new ICD-10 which takes effect in Sept. 2015.

Medical Billing & Coding Specialists may be employed in any medical facility where physician's patient orders are coded, such as hospital medical records departments, physicians; offices, pharmacies, clinics, HMO's and insurance companies. Students will also be able to meet the demands of commercial insurance carriers and federally mandated programs such as Medicaid, Medicare and Workers Compensation.

We achieve this by offering instruction in the following areas:
• Medical Terminology
• Medical Insurance
• Insurance Terminology
• Medical Billing (Theory/Practical)
• Computerized Medical Practical and Keyboarding
• Medical Coding (ICD-9, & CPT.)
• HCFA 1500

Upon completion of this program, participants will be qualified, for the following job tittles (levels of entry vary depending upon individual experience and background)
